By logging in and using the site to place an order, you are agreeing to be bound by them. We have tried to keep them simple and fair to you, to the suppliers and to us. Wine Trade OnlineTM is meant for the use of members of the Licensed Trade ONLY. That means that you, or your business, or the business you represent must have a valid New Zealand Liquor License. If you cease to be a legitimate member of the Licensed Trade, you must cease using Wine Trade OnlineTM.
To gain access to the Wine Trade Online'sTM Trade Zone, you will need to open a user account. You can do that HERE.
Once your user account has been approved and activated, we will notify you by email. This will usually occur within one business day. You cannot complete an order until your user account has been approved and activated.
You need to have a valid account with each supplier you wish to buy from. You can see a list of suppliers HERE. If you place an order with a supplier with whom you do not have a valid account, you authorise us to provide that supplier with any information they may request in order to open a new account for you.
For a supplier to open your account, you need to satisfy the individual supplier's credit terms and requirements. It is solely the decision of the supplier whether to grant an account. Wine Trade OnlineTM is not involved in that decision at all.
Contracts
When you place an order on Wine Trade OnlineTM, you contract between yourself and the supplier, not with Wine Trade OnlineTM Limited or it's owners. Wine Trade OnlineTM simply forwards your order to the supplier.
Customer Promise
We promise to do all we can to make Wine Trade OnlineTM a high quality, user friendly experience that you'll find easy to use, practical, fast, informative and fun. We want you to enjoy using Wine Trade OnlineTM, so if you think of anything we can do to make it better for you, tell us about it HERE.
We make every endeavour to keep the site up to date with correct prices, vintages and stock levels etc. but because we rely on third parties we can't take responsibility for any inaccuracies or omissions.
If you would like one of your current suppliers to make their products available to you through Wine Trade OnlineTM, tell your supplier about us or you can make your suggestion HERE and we will follow it up for you.
Pricing
We do not charge you to view Wine Trade OnlineTM or to use it to place your orders with suppliers.
Because Wine Trade OnlineTM is a business to business site, all prices quoted are EXCLUSIVE OF GST.
In the case of alcoholic beverages, prices quoted are excise paid unless specifically stated otherwise.
Pricing on Wine Trade OnlineTM is designed to reflect the usual prices and buying privileges you receive from each supplier.
'Trade Price' is the standard, no discount, single bottle or unit price generally quoted ex-catalogue by the supplier for your type of liquor license.
Wine Trade Online's Price Calculator queries a set group of parameters to come up with the best price for you, based on quantity and the suppliers pricing policy. We make every endeavour to ensure that the prices shown accurately reflect your usual buying privileges but it is the responsibility of the purchaser (that's you) to make sure you are satisfied with the price before proceeding to order.
Our suppliers agree to make their best prices, and most promotions and special deals available through Wine Trade OnlineTM. If you can get a better deal, please tell us about it.
Order Quantities
The minimum order quantity for each product is determined by the supplier. The site will immediately inform you if you attempt to order less than the suppliers set minimum. We've tried to keep it very simple and easy to understand, but if you have any problems, call us and we can talk you through.
Remember, ordering larger quantities can often gain better prices and save on freight. Ordering smaller quantities regularly will help you reduce your inventory costs and make paying your bills more manageable.
Service
We undertake to forward your orders to the relevant supplier in a timely and accurate manner. Although we've taken care to use high quality components and fast host servers we can't offer any assurance that the site will always be available. The speed of service or 'download speed' you receive will depend a great deal on your equipment and other things outside of our control.
We undertake to respond to your inquiries in a timely, accurate and helpful way but please remember that we often have to rely on the accuracy and availability of information from third parties.
Wine Trade OnlineTM want your experience using this site to be one you'll love. If you have a suggestion on how we can make our service better, please tell us.
Delivery & Freight
When you place your order with Wine Trade OnlineTM, freight charges may be incurred. Contact your supplier for details of their freight policy.
If you are in a freight free area for a particular supplier, you should expect your Wine Trade OnlineTM orders to be delivered freight free too. If you're not, you can expect to be charged just the same freight rates that you are currently charged when ordering through other channels from any particular supplier.
Although you place your order with Wine Trade OnlineTM, you may have several suppliers represented on that order. Please take note that suppliers will calculate any freight charges on the part of your order that you are buying from them.
Consulting your suppliers' freight policy will give you any further details you may require. If not, please give us a call; we will be happy to help.
If an order does not arrive within the period that you would expect, please contact the supplier of those goods directly, in the first instance, to have the consignment traced. Make sure you have your Wine Trade OnlineTM Order Confirmation.
Having first contacted your supplier, please feel free to call Wine Trade OnlineTM should you require further assistance.
Claims
If you receive a consignment that is damaged or incorrect, please follow these steps.
1. Accept the consignment but notate the problem on the consignment note before signing.
2. Refer to your supplier's claim instructions and follow them.
3. Directly contact the supplier of the damaged, short delivered or otherwise incorrect goods immediately and inform them of the problem.
They will want you to tell them the invoice number and the consignment note number so make sure you have this information on hand.
Having first contacted your supplier, please feel free to call Wine Trade OnlineTM should you require further assistance.
Payment
Your Wine Trade OnlineTM Order Confirmation is not an invoice. You will be invoiced directly by your supplier.
Payment should be made directly to your suppliers within the conditions of your accounts with each. Do not make payment to Wine Trade OnlineTM.
Availability
The site displays products based on the latest stock and availability information that has been provided by the relevant supplier. Wine Trade OnlineTM Limited offer no warranty or assurance whatsoever that products displayed on the site and for which we may accept an order on behalf of the supplier are in fact available at any time. However, we undertake to do our best to keep you informed of any stock and/or availability issues of which we become aware and to post that information to the site in a timely manner.
Age
We will not accept, under any circumstances, an order from any person who is not at least eighteen (18) years of age or older.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and you indemnify Wine Trade OnlineTM Limited against any resulting action.
Security
This section relates specifically to the security of transaction information on this site. For information about how we use and protect the information we collect about you and your use of the site, see the Privacy and Data Protection Statement.
Wine Trade OnlineTM is password protected, that means, you are required to enter your secret username and password to gain full access to the trade only areas on the site. Your username and password are exclusive to you, and you should not share them or disclose them to anyone else. You should be careful where you record these details. If you loose them, disclose them or need them to be cancelled and replaced, you should contact us immediately.
Cancellations
Wine Trade OnlineTM transmits your order instantly to your suppliers so if you wish to cancel any order you place with us, you must contact us as soon as possible. Via email is best. Any delay in contacting us may mean that we are unable to cancel your order before it is dispatched. If your order has been dispatched before you cancel it, you may incur freight charges from your supplier.
Please make sure that you provide us with your Wine Trade OnlineTM Order Confirmation number when you contact us to cancel an order.
We will provide you with written confirmation, via email, when we have cancelled your order with the supplier concerned.

The Sale of Liquor Act regulates the liquor industry. It is your responsibility to ensure that your actions comply with this legislation.
The Privacy Act determines how personal information may be collected, stored, used and disseminated.
Wine Trade Online comply with all relevant New Zealand Legislation. In the event of any dispute, jurisdiction will be in the Henderson Disputes Tribunal or the Henderson District Court or the Auckland High Court, dependant upon the nature of the dispute.
Limitation of Liability
Wine Trade Online Limited does not warrant that the website will operate error free or that this web site and its servers are free of computer viruses and other harmful goods. If your use of the web site or the material results in the need for servicing or replacing equipment or data, Wine Trade Online Limited and it's owners, are not responsible for those costs. The web site and material are provided on an "as is" basis without any warranties implied or otherwise, other than those required by New Zealand commercial law.

Regarding the information gathered
We gather two kinds of user information: data that users provide through optional, voluntary registration on our site, and aggregated tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our site. This information helps us better tailor our content to readers' needs and understand the demographics of our audience. While we track user traffic patterns throughout our site, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. We segment overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from a user's browser string. While we track the search terms users enter into our search engine, this tracking is never associated with individual users.
No Guarantee of Nondisclosure
We may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access a user's transmissions or communications. Security
We use industry-standard efforts to safeguard our users' specifically identifiable information, such as password protection, firewalls and port blocking technology.
Wine Trade Online Limited implements extensive data security precautions:
 All incoming and outgoing electronic files are scanned for malicious material. In addition, we regularly scan our entire systems for viruses and worms.
We regularly check all our systems for Back Orifice agents and we use fire-walling and port blocking technologies.
Our systems are password protected against unauthorized access and it is our policy that our equipment is never left unattended by Wine Trade Online staff when others are in the vicinity.
Our servers are on separate premises to our offices. Back-up files are kept by our web host and on our own premises.
Paper waste from our offices is either shredded or burned or both.
