TW Chardonnay Viognier 2008 #2278

Paul Tietjen and Geordie Witters, have vineyards on the narrow five kilometre strip from Ormond to Hexton, just nor-west of Gisborne, that has given rise to most of Gisborne's gold winning Chardonnays - The Golden Slope. Their wines epitomise what the world has come to expect of New Zealand wine – power, complexity, elegance and good cellaring potential. Since 1989, wines from Paul and Geordie's vineyards have won 39 national and international medals, including nine gold's, and two trophies - the 1997 National Wine Show of Australia and the 1998 Air New Zealand Wine Awards.

A really great-tasting blend of Chardonnay and Viognier from Paul Tietjen and Geordie Witters' Golden Slope vineyards in Gisborne. Its vibrantly fruity and fresh, though dry. Moderately bodied, its the perfect wine to serve by the glass or for summer case specials.
