Montana classic wines are considered the benchmark of New Zealand varietal winemaking and have an international reputation for quality and consistency. The wines are crafted in a style that exemplifies the unique character and flavour of the region.
Deep red with a violet hue this wine has a delicious mix of plum and cassis fruit notes with background hints of coffee, chocolate and leather. Fresh primary fruit flavours combined with savoury tannin and oak characters provide the introduction to a long warm finish with a genuine persistence of fruit notes.
This wine will mature and drink well for two to three years from its release if stored in cool conditions of 12-15oC. This wine has an appealing intensity of flavour and savoury tannin structure enabling it to marry well with your favourite succulent lamb or beef based dishes or as a pairing with cheeses.
