"Intense berry fruit, black plum and wild strawberry on the nose with spice, high country herbs and blackcurrant also abundant. Enticing and approachable with a concentrated palate and a lingering silky texture".

Ripe fruit was handpicked and vinted in small batches using traditional methods. During fermentation, gentle plunging up to three times per day ensured the desired extraction of colour, structure and aroma compounds.
Following fermentation to dryness there was a ten-day post ferment maceration and the wine was then racked to French oak barriques (30 percent new) for ten months. After malolactic fermentation concluded the wine was blended with a gentle filtration before bottling in March 2008.
